Supporters' Clubs

Wrexham Dragons - The Official Wrexham AFC Supporters Association

Re-launched in November 2004 this site looks and is impressive.
The Association has played a major part in supporting the club down the years, including introducing the ‘Wrexham Revival’ campaign which helped keep the club afloat in the early Nineties.
WOSA is the longest established fans group, holding regular meetings and functions, and providing a valuable match commentary service for Wrexham Maelor Hospital patients. The association’s first broadcast was way back in 1957. Today, Mark Griffiths provides the commentary.
Membership of the association has many benefits, such as discounted travel on the official supporters coaches.

To join the Association you can either join online, call into the club souvenir shop, go to the New Centenary Club on match days, or send a cheque for £5 payable to "Wrexham A.F.C. Supporters' Association" to Gareth Griffiths, Membership Secretary, 1 Gardden Court, off Duke Street, Rhos, Wrexham, LL141SU

Wrexham Supporters' Trust

WST’s roots developed from WINS (Wrexham INdependent Supporters) which was set up to provide financial assistance for the club.  WINS initiated the highly successful ‘Beer a Week’ which asked supporters to donate the price of a pint (£2) a week to a fund enabling the club to secure the services of loan and permanent player signings.
The Supporters’ Trust constitution covers wide and varied objectives, which include strengthening the bonds between the Club and the community, better communication with the club and its supporters, helping to encourage new supporters to The Racecourse etc
The Trust hosts regular ‘open meetings’ providing information to supporters and the opportunity for supporters to enter debate on current issues. Local MP’s and Councillors have also attended recent meetings after recent concern for the club’s future due to its current financial crisis.
This site is maintained by Wyn Griffiths and also enables supporters to join the Trust online, use the shout-box, ask questions and provide ideas.
The Trust has now raised in the region of £80,000 through various fund-raising events. It must be added that many clubs' supporters, especially those from Brighton, Doncaster and Huddersfield have been tremendous in their support.
In readiness for the new 2005/2006 season, WST has initiated several new fundraising ideas including ‘Sponsor a goal’ and a chance for Reds to Donate unwanted foreign currency to help boost Trust funds.
Arfon Griffiths MBE who made a club record of 591 league appearances for Wrexham FC is honorary President of WST
Membership for Wrexham Supporters’ Trust now approaches passed the 600 mark, with membership from as little as £1 per month to join!
