Wrexham FC Fanzines

The Dismal Jimmy

The Dismal Jimmy

The Dismal Jimmy was an investigative and informative fanzine produced by supporters concerned at events occurring at The Racecourse Ground under the tenure of Mark Guterman and Alex Hamilton.

The club eventually became relegated after being deducted 10-points by the Football League for going into administration.

In 2006 club administrators Begbies Traynor won two High Court battles and the freehold of the ground was handed back to Wrexham Football Club.  The fanzine has not ruled out future editions.

C'mon the Town!!

C'mon the Town!!

Issue 1 of C’mon the Town!! launched on Saturday December 16 when Wrexham entertained Walsall at the Racecourse.

Priced at £1 it looks destined to be an entertaining and interesting read.  The fanzine will also be available on Ebay for exiled Reds’ fans

Priced at £1 it looks destined to be an entertaining and interesting read.  The fanzine will also be available on Ebay for exiled Reds’ fans.

Issue 1 contained an interview with Wrexham FC co-owner and former ex-Red Hector Sam and, an interesting 'Bookies Column'.

Past Fanzines

The Sheeping Giant

The Sheeping Giant was the first Wrexham FC fanzine to hit the streets at a whopping price of 50p!

It took a light-hearted look at events surrounding the club and also featured regular pundits ‘Dai Shovett’ and ‘Paddock Pete’.

It was an entertaining and amusing read at half-time over a cup of Bovril.

Red Passion

Red Passion followed ‘The Sheeping Giant’ and first appeared in August 1998 before finally taking a bow in April 2003 with its 45th edition.

It contained both amusing and informative articles, cartoons, readers’ letters and not forgetting Elsie Prices’ football ground toilet guide!
